This snowy loop crosses the vast Campo Carlo Magno highland. Starting from the cross-country trails, the itinerary heads out into the open beyond the woods in an area that gets lots of sun all day long. Once you have passed Malga Mondifrà, the trail heads into a beautiful, dense forest of European spruce and silver fir as well as larch. When you reach Malga Vaglianella, head down through the woods in a loop that will take you back to the start.

Malga Mondifrà is a great place for a relaxing break as you enjoy a hot beverage or local alpine delicacies.

Safety information

Important: Sections of the itinerary run along the cross-country skiing trails. We recommend you keep to the edges of the trail to not hinder oncoming skiers.

Experience walking along irregular mountain trails is recommended. In the event of fresh snow, snowshoes are also recommended. Be careful of ice when temperatures are particularly low. As you might imagine, the accessibility of these mountain trails depends entirely on the conditions found at any given time, such as the weather and other natural and environmental conditions. Therefore, before you set out, you should check the status of the trail by contacting alpine guides, lodge operators, or the local tourist office or park information office.
