moderate
Distance 4.8 km
An excursion of intermediate difficulty that winds up steeply through the woods to Clemp, which overlooks the valley below and out across the Adamello mountain range to the west and the Brenta Dolomites to the east, both of which form the Rendena Valley in the middle. Because of its strategic position, the area of Clemp was selected for the construction of an ancient fortress that was used as an Austrian outpost during World War I. The remains of this structure are visitable to this day. The area also features several characteristic mountain huts known locally as “case da mont”.

Safety information
Experience walking along irregular mountain trails is recommended. In the event of fresh snow, snowshoes are also recommended. Be careful of ice when temperatures are particularly low. As you might imagine, the accessibility of these mountain trails depends entirely on the conditions found at any given time, such as the weather and other natural and environmental conditions. Therefore, before you set out, you should check the status of the trail by contacting alpine guides, lodge operators, or the local tourist office or park information office.Tips and hints
