Safety information

Important: Sections of the itinerary run along the  alpine skiing runs. We recommend you keep to the edges of the trail to not hinder oncoming skiers.

Experience walking along irregular mountain trails is recommended. In the event of fresh snow, snowshoes are also recommended. Be careful of ice when temperatures are particularly low. As you might imagine, the accessibility of these mountain trails depends entirely on the conditions found at any given time, such as the weather and other natural and environmental conditions. Therefore, before you set out, you should check the status of the trail by contacting alpine guides, lodge operators, or the local tourist office or park information office.

Destination

Zeledria chairlift

Turn-by-turn directions

At the old Fortini -Pradalago chairlift, take the path to the right of the slope (Pradalago easy) and then take the Franco Maturi trail (the exact starting point is located just above the arrival of the Malga Zeledria-Fortini slope). The first section is almost flat and heads near the Cascina Zeledria refuge, without, however, arriving there. With this behind you, cross a large clearing where you can admire the Brenta Dolomites. Once you've passed the clearing the path becomes steeper and passing through larch woods you reach the Zeledria chairlift where the itinerary ends. To return to Madonna di Campiglio, follow the same route backward or you can return on skis via the ski slope.

Public transport

Served by the winter transportation (Grostè cablecar stop) or the Trentino Trasporti bus line (Grostè cablecar stop).

Getting there

Reach loc. Fortini near the Grostè cableway, 1 km northwards Madonna di Campiglio along the main road SS239. To reach the cableway coming from Pinzolo, take the tunnel at the beginning of Madonna di Campiglio - avoiding the centre of the village - and go on towards Campo Carlo Magno for about 1 k after the tunnel exit. Coming from Dimaro, instead, pass Campo Carlo Magno and, after about 800 meters, arrive at the Grostè cableway.

Parking

Big free parking at the departure of the Grostè cableway.
