Safety information

  • The roads, trails, and ski runs indicated are often used in the opposite direction as well, so keep an eye out for hikers, other cyclists, and vehicles.
  • On trails and other narrow roadways, pay close attention to hikers and slow down or stop as seems appropriate under the circumstances.
  • Always were a helmet and never underestimate the difficulty of the trails.
  • Be careful when crossing wood bridges, as they can often be slippery.
  • Avoid skidding as this can damage both your tires and the road surface.

Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the woodland park in Pinzolo, follow the bike path downriver along the left bank of the Sarca river.

Cross the bridge at the end of the bike path and continue along the dirt road.

Stop at the intersection with the paved road; cross the street and continue along the dirt road. Pass the big, white bridge, but don’t cross it, and after about 400m enter the tunnel to continue uphill to the paved road.

Turn left here and continue through 3 switchbacks to another intersection. Turn left and follow Via Ferrazza up to the town. Continue to the church and then, after a few meters, turn right onto Via Belvedere in the direction of Massimeno.

Continue on for about 1 km along the main road until another intersection and then keep to the left.

Continue along this narrow, paved road for about 2 km until the main square in Massimeno, where you will turn left and head downhill towards Giustino. At the roundabout, turn right. Go through the square and the tunnel and continue on to the church, where you will turn right onto Via Rosmini. Continue along this road until the intersection with Via di Gagia. Follow this road into Pinzolo.
