The easy path near Fontanabona lead you to discover the traces of the Great War: trenchesremains, emplacements, rock caves, terraces that were used as some shacks’ bases - the soldiers’ shelters.

From Carisolo follow the road to Val Genova up to the Trenches Bridge, placed a little after the end of the steep ascent ”Scala di Bo”; cross the bridge and follow a ring-route along the orographic right of the river, then come back to the starting point and follow another ring-route on the opposite bank of the river.
