Turn-by-turn directions
From Malga Spora you intersect the path waymarked SAT 301 (EE) descending from Rifugio Graffer and continue on this towards Andalo passing through the area of monumental larches. In 30 minutes you come to the Malga Cavedago field where you enter the SAT 338 (E) path (1848 m) that climbs fairly easily the whole of the beautiful Val dei Cavai to Sella del Montoz (2327 m) in 1,00 hours. From Sella it takes 1,00 hour to descend to Malga Campa (1975 m) (with a bivouac).
From Malga Campa the SAT 370 (E) path rises quickly to Bocchetta della Campa and then descends through mugo pine thickets and larch woods to Malga Loverdina (1768 m). Walking time Malga Campa – Malga Loverdina 0,45 hours.
From Malga Loverdina you continue towards Malga Termoncello (1852) (with a bivouac called Baita Quetta) on the SAT 339 (E) path to reach Passo Termoncello (1856 m) in 30 minutes. At Passo Termoncello you take the long but even high altitude SAT 330 (E) path that, in an alternation of screes and mugo pines in Val Strangola, offers wonderful views of Lake Tovel and reaches Malga Flavona (1858 m) (with shelter) in 1,30 hours.
