Author’s recommendation

Suitable place for having a family picnic. There are a playground and some inflatables at the arrival of the cablecar, at Prà Rodont area. The route becomes shorter if you avoid some stretches or if you take the cablecar.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the cablecar arrival take the path along Fossadei ski slopes and walk to “Malga Cioca”. Go on north-eastbound along the dirt road n°357 to “Malga Grual”, where the road goes up steeply. In a few time you reach a flat area where chairlifts start, here go on along the road that turns right, westbound. Go on to the end of the road and then catch the path n°357b. Go up along the path till “Doss del Sabion” and the refuge. As alternative, you can reach Doss del Sabion directly by lifts. From the refuge go down along “Soffio del Vento “path. At the fork turn right, southbound, catch the path n°357 leading to “bregn da l’Ors” Pass. In “Madonnina” area catch the path n°307 and then go down along the dirt road to Malga “Brogn da l’Ors”. Leave the road and turn right catching the “Fratelli Tartarotti” path n° 307b. Cross a small bridge, go on along the pasture and then go into the wood. Here go down gradually, adoidind to catch the fork on the left and go on till Prà Rodont.

Public transport

You can reach Pinzolo by the Trentino Trasporti buses. The bus top is just in front of the lifts of Doss del Sabion.

Getting there

The Doss del Sabion cablecar is at 800 mt a.s.l., north of Pinzolo, along the main road SS239 towards Madonna di Campiglio.

Big free car park at the departure of the lifts.
