Cascate Nardis
Nardis Waterfalls are the most well-known falls of Val di Genova, which is renowned as the "waterfalls valley" for the great abundance of falls featured. They drop for over 130 metres from Presanella, at 921 m a.s.l., with a gradient of between 55 and 65 degrees. The valley boasts terraced slopes cut by watercourses and glacier formations, which explains the unusually large amount of falls.
Water steam and its effect on the rocks, as well as the special angle the light features at sunset, make the waterfall a very evocative attraction - but it is actually spectacular all day long. The waterfall can be reached from Nardis mountain-hut - from Carisolo - and in the summertime only, the valley being cut off during the winter months, from September to June.
